Executive Team
Amy Siegel - Co-founder and President
Amy Siegel is one of co-founders of Give One Dollar A Day. She was inspired to create Give One Dollar A Day from her many years working as a pediatric hematology/oncology nurse. She worked at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital from 2004 - 2018. She is currently on the Board of Directors of Camp Okizu (a summer camp for children and families affected by cancer). In addition, she is an ambassador for the non-profit Bridge Meadows (an intergenerational community for foster care families and seniors). She is a lover of documentary films, making music playlists, running, traveling, and reading. She is also a mom to a very curious and loving 4.5-year-old.
Amy Brenner Corso - Executive Team Extraordinaire
Amy began her career as a pediatric intensive care unit nurse at Georgetown University Hospital before moving to California to work at Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital. In 2004, she had the fortuitous opportunity to work as a patient care coordinator at George Mark Children’s House, the first freestanding pediatric palliative care facility in the United States, as they opened their doors. It was during this same period that she enrolled in the UCSF Advanced Practice Pediatric Nursing Program and met Amy Siegel, GODAD’s Cofounder. After completing her program, she moved back to Washington, DC and has been working as a nurse practitioner at Medstar Georgetown’s Adolescent Clinic since 2006. Outside of the clinical world, she enjoys spending her time in motion, preferably outdoors and even better if her dog is beside her! She has two tween-age children and she loves watching as they navigate their ever-expanding worlds. She is honored to become a part of this GODAD executive team, working to ease the burden of suffering for families in unthinkable circumstances.
